Public School Partners Philosophy of Education

PSP’s 7-C’s include: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Connectivity, Cultural Proficiency, and Social Capital.

Public School Partners believes schools should prepare students for life, not just for a test! Our educational framework and “active-learning” pedagogy provide students with the foundation to be college, career, and military ready. We believe in educating the whole child by helping students discover their strengths and providing learning opportunities to maximize their development both individually and collaboratively. Students need to practice critical thinking skills to realize their potential to solve the complex problems they will face.

Today’s world requires students to confidently express themselves while appreciating other people’s viewpoints and experiences. In a world that requires students to contribute in multiple ways, communication and connectivity skills are essential for students to meet their potential and demonstrate their abilities to compete innovatively. Social capital is an equalizer and describes students’ access to, and ability to mobilize, relationships that help them further their personal and professional goals. Just like skills and knowledge, relationships offer resources that drive access to opportunity.
